Last night we witnessed Kell Brook make a return to the world stage.

Taking on Carson Jones for the second time; in a 152 pound catch-weight contest, stopped Carson in eight, almost, one-sided rounds!

The first fight between the pair had seen Brook win the first six rounds before tiring badly and letting the American back into the fight, something that led to the suggestion that Jones may well have deserved the verdict.

This time around though Brook was in scintillating form, delivering the crisper punches and keeping Jones at distance. The crunch point in the fight came in round six when three big right hand punches troubled Jones and the seventh round saw the American troubled by an uppercut and a right hook.

Many felt that the referee could have stopped the fight in the seventh round but any thoughts of it being allowed to go on too long were ended in round eight when the referee did eventually step-in.

Now it remains to be seen whether Brook can get down to 147 pounds, the weight the American?s camp said they really wanted the contest at or whether Brook will decide to move up a weight.
