As Saturday night draws nearer our coverage of the forthcoming IBF welterweight fight between Kell Brook and Jo Jo Dan will gather pace.

The fight in Brook?s home city of Sheffield is eagerly awaited with Brook, having recovered from the awful machete attack he suffered on the holiday isle of Tenerife, looking to show he?s lost none of the skill and verve he displayed in winning the title off of Shawn Porter.

Both boxers fancy their chances of winning, Dan has never been stopped and Brook is hoping to be the first to do that but his initial thoughts as we head towards the bout this Saturday is the mere fact he is still able to box again after that aforementioned attack with Brook remarking,

?I?m glad to be boxing again. When the attack happened I was thinking, ?Am I going to walk again let alone box again??

Already there is talk of, if he retains his title, a welterweight unification fight against the winner of Floyd Mayweather Junior and Manny Pacquiao, although perhaps that tasty dust up with Amir Khan might come this summer.
