London the Venue for Brook?s Next IBF Defence.

The good news for all fans of Kell Brook is that the Sheffield fighter will be making the second defence of his IBF world welterweight title in London, on 30th May.

Eddie Hearn has obviously decided that the bill for his promotion on May 30th needs bulking up and what better way than adding another world title fight to the show.

Sadly the fight, although capturing the attention of the man on the street won?t get the same acceptance from those who know the fight game.

After failing to lure Amir Khan to London, the Hearn camp has decided that Frankie Gavin is a suitable opponent for Brook.

Brook probably sums matters up when he remarked about the match-up,

‘I feel like I’m unbeatable right now and Gavin isn’t going to be able to cope with my speed and power on fight night.’

No he won?t and my feeling is that Gavin is being rushed into this fight as Matchroom can?t find anyone else, of a high ranking, to take the fight.

It remains to be seen if Kell Brook can sell out London like he can sell-out Sheffield, I?d be surprised if he can.
