Kell Brook?s date with destiny is almost upon us.

This Saturday, at the 02 Arena, in London, Brook goes up against Gennady Golovkin, quite probably the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

In agreeing to face the unbeaten multi-strap champion, Brook has moved up from the welterweight division to the middleweight division, it?ll be the first time Brook is fighting at this weight, a weight that Golovkin has dominated for several years.

At the pre-fight press conference, held earlier today, Brook appeared to be extremely confident that he can shock the world, remarking to those willing to listen.

‘I’ve always wanted to be the best in the sport. All the talking and training is over, it comes down to top champions fighting each other on Saturday night.

‘This is going to be the biggest win ever.

‘I’ve got the skills. Everyone says I’m a small guy going up. I’ve never trained the way I’ve trained for this fight. I’ve dug in and gone beyond what I’ve ever done before. I believe it’s all for a reason, I am going to shock the world.

‘I’m ready to rip those titles away from Golovkin. You are going to see me go out there and do what I want to do.’

You can?t knock Kell?s confidence but can he pull off the biggest shock Boxing will have witnessed for many a year?

We?ll find out on Saturday won?t we!
