Reports coming in from the United States, infer that Floyd Mayweather has two British fighters in his targets for his, supposed, 49th and last fight.
According to the LA Times journalist, Lance Pugmire, Mayweather will be making his mind up in the next two weeks but that the boxers in a prime position to be his opponent are none other than Amir Khan and Kell Brook.
It is, if correct, an intriguing situation!
Amir Khan has longed for a show-down with Mayweather with the Bolton fighter convinced he has the skill-set to become the first fighter to defeat the flash, unbeaten American.
But Kell Brook, as the IBF champion, is of the opinion his status as a welterweight champion, and unbeaten one at that, should see him fight Mayweather.
Personally, I think Khan has the edge when it comes to being hand-picked and if I?m wrong and it goes the other way and the Mayweather camp chooses Brook, there?ll be some choice words being exchanged between all three parties.
