Having travelled to Rostock, Germany, to fight for the WBA light heavyweight title, Enzo Maccarinelli was unfortunate enough to be involved in a clash of heads that affected the outcome of the fight.

The clash of heads, against the champion Juergen Braehmer, resulted in Enzo?s eye fully closing with, subsequently, his vision being severely restricted and resulting in his corner retiring him at the end of round five.

After the fight the promoter, Frank Warren, insisted he?d do everything possible to get Enzo a re-match, with it being a very good likelihood considering the huge ratings the fight attracted on German television with an estimated 3 million tuning in.

Well we?re hearing that Enzo could very well get that re-match with a date of sometime in June being bandied about, hopefully the next time we report on this situation it?ll be confirm a date has been fixed.
