Earlier this week we reported on how it was hoped that Billy Joe Saunders would get a crack at the vacant WBO middleweight crown.

Moves were afoot to match the #2 contender Saunders, who has a record of 20-0 with 11 by way of knockout, with the #1 contender Matt Korobov.

However those plans seem to have been put on the back burner with it now being announced that Matt Korobov, with a record of 24-0 with 14 by way of knockout will fight Demetrius Andrade for title.

The bout has, apparently, come about after Andrade applied for mandatory status for the vacant WBO middleweight title and was granted it.

Therefore, Billy Joe Saunders will have to bide his time until he gets his world title chance.
