Next spring, in Wales, is now the suggestion!

Although what is described as a ?minor injury? is keeping Wladimir Klitschko out of the ring until 2017, there is still every chance that the huge heavyweight fight with Anthony Joshua will go-ahead next spring.

The 40-year-old Ukrainian has admitted he wants to fight the IBF champion in either March or April and has described a possible meeting in the German newspaper Bild as,

‘That’ll be the biggest heavyweight fight for years’

And as for Eddie Hearn he?s under no illusion as to the magnitude of the fight and the build-up it will deserve, adding,

?We will announce that fight for the spring and give it the build-up it deserves – probably take it to a stadium as well. I’m certain it will happen in the spring.

‘We are in talks with the Millennium Stadium [now the Principality Stadium] about their dates in March and April – it has a roof and it can be a bit nippy in London in March or April.’

Er! Doesn?t Wembley Stadium now have a roof?

But, talking about the fight, our view is that the longer Klitschko waits the more it favours Joshua.

If the fight doesn?t happen until April, it?ll be over eighteen months since the Ukrainian fought last, against Tyson Fury!
