The inference that a fight involving two veterans of the ring had been doing the rounds on the social network sites for several days.

Today it has been revealed that is exactly the case.

It seems that two giants of the super-middleweight division, from the 1990?s, are set to go head-to-head again for what will be the third time.

Sometime in either October or November, Nigel Benn and Steve Collins will climb into the ring, eager to revive former glories.

Benn is now 53-years-old and Collins is slightly younger at 52-years-of-age.

The two previous fights between the two former ring warriors saw Collins win both, after the second Benn officially announced his retirement.

With one circus set to take place, across the pond, with Floyd Mayweather Junior set to face Conor McGregor, I?m not sure what to make of the announcement today.

Is it a money thing?

Is it a pride thing?

Will the public lap it all up?

I?m really not sure, how about you?
