On the under-card, in Manchester on Saturday night, Conor Benn was given another opportunity to shine.
Conor, son of the legend that is Nigel Benn, was matched against Nathan Clarke.
Conor put on an impressive display to record a first round stoppage taking his record to 9-0 whilst also recording the seventh stoppage of his professional career.
The contest, scheduled for six rounds, was ended in brutal fashion when Conor stopped his opponent in the first round.
The end was nigh for Clarke when he was caught with a right-hand and sunk to the canvas.
Although Clarke managed to beat the count Conor continued to unload some decent shots and a second trip to the canvas followed.
After taking an eight count, Clarke bravely climbed to his feet but after two minutes and sixteen seconds of the first round the referee had seen enough and stopped the contest.
Still just 21-years-of-old, Conor Benn, just like his father, looks set for a glittering future in the sport, definitely one to keep an eye on.
