After Tony Bellew successfully defended his WBC cruiserweight title, against BJ Flores back in October, his post-fight celebrations centred around one man ? David Haye.

Bellew taunted Haye from in the ring in scenes that were reminiscent of the WWE wrestling franchise.

Clearly an element of animosity exists between the two and although Bellew insisted he wanted to fight Haye, did anyone ever believe it?d happen?

Well it appears that it IS going to happen.

Despite all the protestations relating to weight and pay, news has broken this afternoon that Haye and Bellew are set to clash at the O2 Arena, in London.

The fight will take place on 4th March 2017 and will be at heavyweight, although there will be no titles at stake.

Both boxers have, naturally, had something to say about the forthcoming bout with Bellew remarking,

‘I cop him with my best punch, he’s going to sleep.’

Whilst Haye replied,

‘He is completely delusional if he thinks he can beat me.’

Whilst it?s good to see a good old fashioned grudge fight , I can?t help thinking what meeting Bellew will do with regards to getting Haye the world title fight he desires at heavyweight.
