After the incident, in Tenerife, put the kybosh on Kell Brook making the first defence of his IBF welterweight title, in Sheffield, on December 6th, it presented Eddie Hearn with another problem.

The main fight on the undercard was going to be the re-match between Tony Bellew and Nathan Cleverly, both now having moved up from light-heavyweight to cruiserweight.

It would have provided the perfect backdrop for Brook?s first defence but, it seems wasn?t enough to carry the Sheffield bill in its own right.

With unfinished business to be attended to Hearn had admitted that the finishing touches are being put to a bill that will see Bellew and Cleverly clash and that details of a venue and a date will be released soon.

We wait with baited breath.
