As the dust dies on a failed attempt at wrestling a world title from a world class fighter, in Adonis Stevenson, it?s a question of where Tony Bellew goes next.

Bellew, who was stopped in six rounds by Stevenson, gave it his best shot but met a fighter who was probably better in every department than him.

Eddie Hearn, speaking about the fight in Quebec City, had this to say after the fight,

?I?m gutted for Tony, he took on the best in the division and came up short.?

?Darren Barker did the same two years ago and Tony will come back stronger.?

He may well, several boxers have failed at lifting a world title at the first attempt and come back to do so.

But, speaking about his future, perhaps Bellew was tight at the weight when he hinted that he might move up to cruiserweight, remarking,

?Maybe it?s time for me to jump up in weight now.?

?Someone else has recently jumped up in weight and it might be time for me to do it.?

?This might have been one fight too many for me. I was feeling them tonight and it?s not like me to feel shots.?

I guess, with his height, Bellew could become a decent cruiserweight but it remains to be seen whether he can develop into a world-class one in, what for him, would be a new division.

That remains to be seen!
