Following his emphatic defence of his WBC cruiserweight title, Tony Bellew didn?t leave anybody in any doubt as to who he wants to fight next.

In scenes, that at times did boxing no favours, Bellew engaged in a verbal spat with the former heavyweight title holder, David Haye, with regards to getting him in the ring for his next fight.

A pumped up Bellew, teased Haye, who had predicted BJ Flores would win the bout, with,

‘I’ve smashed your mate, your playboy buddy, and I will smash you exactly the same way.’

Before adding,

‘I’m the biggest payday you’ll get.’

With his emotions running high Bellew left the ring to try and get at Haye, who was sitting close to ringside, but was restrained by his entourage.

Forced back into the ring, Bellew continued his verbal onslaught taunting Haye further with,

‘Those two guys you just fought were a joke and you’re robbing everybody who pays to come to the arena.

‘Listen, you predicted BJ was going to beat me, didn’t you? You predicted he was going to beat me. He got smashed. And you’re going to get smashed too.

‘You know what, with 10oz gloves on boy, I’ll put you and that pathetic haircut to sleep.

‘Listen SpongeBob Squarepants, I’ll deal with you in a boxing ring, you’ve got this big aura around yourself, I don’t care.’

Now whether Haye rises to the challenge or not remains to be seen, but Bellew did make a decent point, those last two opponents Haye fought, on his comeback trail, were pretty shoddy.

But, the biggest question left over from last night?s verbal spat would be at what weight would they fight, would Haye come back down to cruiserweight, which is very unlikely, or would Bellew pile the pounds on and move up to heavyweight?
