After just two fights as a professional boxer, it has been announced that Paddy Barnes is set to fight for a European title in his third fight.

The 30-year-old, who has two Olympic bronze medal to his name, is set to fight for the WBO version of the European flyweight belt, in Belfast, on 17th June.

The fight will take place at the Waterfront Hall, in the fighters? home city of Belfast.

No opponent has been announced for the fight as of yet.

But at 30-years-of age Barnes knows he has to move fast to make his mark on the world scene.

Once his opponent has been named we?ll report further.

Also expected to be fighting on the bill is a fellow Belfast fighter, Jamie Conlan.

Conlan, also 30-years-old, has won all 19 of his professional fights and after taking the WBC international Silver super-flyweight crown in his last-fight is looking for a world title eliminator.
