Over in the US, a future potential opponent of Anthony Joshua has fallen foul of the law.

The WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder, has ben found guilty of marihuana possession.

Wilder, 32-years-of-age and unbeaten in the professional ranks was arrested last June in Alabama.

Found guilty of the charge, the American was given a 30-day suspended sentence and was also given two years? probation.

Talking about the verdict, Wilder?s lawyer, Paul Patterson, had this to say,

‘We respect the court’s ruling. Of course we were hoping a dismissal would be granted.?

Guilty as charged though was the verdict.

Hopefully, the criminal offence won?t have implications when it comes to Wilder travelling to the United Kingdom to challenge Anthony Joshua in what will be a mega-fight, hopefully with all the heavyweight belts up for grabs.
