This Saturday, over in Belfast, Carl Frampton will be making his first defence of his world crown.

It is a mandatory defence for the Belfast fighter against Chris Avalos.

The challenger arrived in Belfast yesterday keen to take the crown off of the darling of Irish Boxing.

Speaking to the media, Avalos reckons he can beat Frampton, remarking to the media about the challenge that lies ahead,

?Nothing concerns me about the way he fights. I am not impressed at all. I?ve seen shots land on him, and if I had landed those shots he would be knocked out.

?And if he thinks being in his home town, that the fans will save him then he is wrong.

?I will go out there on February 28 and win the fight. This title is coming home with me. My shot is finally here and I am ready.

?I have been watching him for about a year ? because my brother was watching a video of him and told me to watch it because I would end up fighting him.

?My brother was saying ?watch this dude, he is from Ireland and you will fight him at some stage? ? so I sat down and watched two or three rounds but I never thought that it would happen and also for a world title.?

Avalos can certainly talk the talk but will he be so cool and confident in the white hot atmosphere the Belfast boxing public will generate for their hero?
