After going into the champions? backyard to beat Andre Dirrell to win the IBF version of the super-middleweight title but he chose to make his first defence of his belt in Quebec, Lucian Bute?s adopted home town.

After beating Bute, on points, in a difficult contest that went a points verdict, DeGale spoke about taking on the WBC title holder, Badou Jack, in a unification belt.
