Sat ringside at the O2 Arena, in London, last night was Anthony Crolla.
Crolla the reigning WBA lightweight champion after his superb recent stoppage of Darleys Perez, was looking on with interest at the fight between Kevin Mitchell and Ismael Barroso.
The general consensus of opinion being that the winner of the fight last night would be challenging Crolla for his version of the world title.
Many expected it to be Kevin Mitchell, however the Venezuelan fighter showed that his fight record where he?d knocked out most of his opponents, wasn?t flawed and Mitchell was stopped in the fifth round.
If the rumours are true, it looks as if Crolla could now be lined up to face Barroso sometime in 2016.
