Now is the time to move upwards!

Having disposed of his latest opponent without any problem, Liverpool?s super-middleweight contender Callum Smith is looking towards developing his blossoming career.

Next up for Smith is a WBC super-middleweight title eliminator, although we?re not sure it is a final eliminator, against Nikola Sjekloc.

Sjekloca is a former world title challenger and will / should give Callum Smith the test he needs at this stage of his career.

If Callum can past this test with flying colours then the 24 year-old has, as we?ve reported before, got his eyes on George Groves who, if he beats Anthony Dirrell, could be the WBC super-middleweight champion by then.

Talking about his future, Callum has remarked to the media,

?I?d go in there with any of the top super middleweights and that includes Groves,?

?My apprenticeship is now over. I feel I?m ready for anyone they will put in front of me.?

Is Smith jumping the gun or is he good enough to live with the best?

I guess we?ll find out over the next 12 months!
