Oh my, how time flies!

Apparently it was 21 years ago today, back in 1993, when two juggernauts of British boxing collided.

Up at Old Trafford, in a bill labelled as Judgement Day, Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn climbed into the ring determined to silence each other.

In a brutal affair both boxers enthralled a huge crowd inside the stadium and an enormous audience on the television.

As for the final verdict, the bout was judged to be a draw, a result that has, over the years, prompted debates in bars up and down the country.

Perhaps the indication of what the true outcome of the fight should have been came years later when Eubank, on television, admitted he thought his arch-rival should have got the verdict.
