The much predicted forecast that an announcement would be forthcoming during last night? Super Bowl that a deal had been made between Floyd Mayweather Junior and Manny Pacquiao for a super-fight wasn?t forthcoming.
Now that?s not to say it won?t happen but we?re hearing that the major stumbling block relates to TV coverage with the fighters hooked up to different companies in HBO and Showtime.
There?s also the inference doing the rounds that any fight between the two mega-stars could now be delayed until September leaving the way open for a possible Mayweather defence against our very own Amir Khan.
