Although Amir Khan is holding out for a mega-fight against Floyd Mayweather, it does look as if contingency plans have also been put in place.

If a Mayweather deal cannot be secured and if Amir Khan can get past Devon Alexander, then Khan could be looking towards a clash with either Adrien Broner or Marcos Maidana.

Talking about such a possibility Khan is quoted in the media as having remarked,

?I?d love to fight Broner. I think it would be a great fight. He has to get past Maidana, which is a tough task for him?the winner of that fight could be a possibility as well.?

Personally, I reckon his Golden Boy connections will ensure that Khan is hand-picked as a Mayweather opponent, but when we?ll just have to wait and see.
