With Carl Froch contemplating whether to retire, after his exploits against George Groves, or whether to head for Las Vegas for one last swansong, somebody has issued a challenge.
Nottingham born super-middleweight Froch currently holds the IBF and WBA versions of the belts whilst the WBC belt is in the hands of the African / Australian Sakio Bika.
Bika, just a year younger than Froch, turned up at the post fight press conference, at Wembley, complete with his WBC belt and challenged Froch to a unification fight.
Since then, Bika has remarked to the media,
?I want to fight Froch. He?s the man in England.?
?Everyone wants to see a fight with all three titles at stake.?
They might well do and the scenario now exists whereby Froch may opt to take on Bika, in a home-coming fight in Nottingham perhaps with the carrot being dangled of a possible Las Vegas super-fight with Andre Ward to decide who really is the real king of the super-middleweight category!
A Unification Fight?
