A fellow Welshman reckons it?s very likely!

Although Nathan Cleverly, following the disappointment of losing his light-heavyweight world title, has moved up a weight to cruiserweight, it?s fair to say that as far as that division goes, he is still a fledgling.

In under two weeks, in Liverpool, Cleverly will take on the Argentine fighter Emilio Valori on a bill whereby his great rival Tony Bellew will fight.

It?s anticipated that we?ll soon be seeing another clash between the two fighters, this time at cruiserweight.

However, although that fight has to still be confirmed a Welsh legend when it comes to world titles, Joe Calzaghe, has no doubt Cleverly can win a world title at cruiserweight with the unbeaten former fighter remarking to the media,

‘I’m pretty confident he’s going to win and hopefully go on to world honours.’

Bellew can punch, he’s a strong fighter and he’s got anger towards Nathan,’ said Calzaghe who retired undefeated in 2009 after a 46-fight career which saw him win world titles at super-middleweight and light-heavyweight.?

‘I’ve known Nathan since he was a young boy. Nathan has the class, the ability, the heart, the speed and it’s all in how he fights.?

He can make it as easy or as hard as he wants to make it – Nathan can do a number on this guy.?

I think the cruiserweight division is adding to his punching power along with his speed – he hasn’t lost any of his speed.’

Praise indeed but can Cleverly go on to become a two weight world champion?
