I?ve previously commented that I don?t anticipate there to be any problems with the much-vaunted clash between Haye and Fury selling out.

It would appear that the Manchester Evening News (MEN) Arena, holds 23,000 spectators.

It seems that in the first three hours tickets went on sale, the demand was huge with Haye?s manager / trainer Adam Booth, quoted as having remarked,

?Tickets have been on sale for around three hours now and we have already sold 10,000 tickets. That?s more than any David Haye fight I?ve been involved in, including the Klitschko fight.?

Which leads me to ponder, should those promoting the fight have taken a risk and opted for a bigger venue, possibly one of the many football stadia in this country or did the fact that the fight is scheduled for a time when the football season is in full swing reason enough to stick with the tried and trusted?

Plus, off course, there?s always the damn weather!

  • don’t get carried away with the status of this fight, the American market won’t be that interested in it
