The fight the whole world is waiting for, Anthony Joshua v Deontay Wilder to establish who is the best fighter on the planet, will take place in 2018.
Talking to the media, AJ?s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has remarked about the bout taking place,
?Absolutely no question’
Hearn has revealed that Hearn has been in contact with Wilder?s camp, on Thursday, urging that the financial aspects of the deal required to make the fight are kept realistic with Hearn continuing,
‘We need middle ground between reality and fantasy.
‘If we can, I don’t see problems making the fight.’
‘Unfortunately, Anthony has to overpay opponents. If we offered Deontay the correct purse for this fight it would never happen because he would think it was disrespectful.
‘So we have to overpay him to make it happen. And we have to give him respect because he’s a great fighter, a great champion, really exciting, a great self promoter.
‘I feel a bit bad for him, he’s got no promoter pushing him.’
Common sense suggests that the fight will make bigger money, from ticket sales, in the UK, but will this country get to stage the greatest heavyweight fight in recent history?
